East Coast Weddings, Island-Wide Expertise

The postcard Mediterranean wedding — with a planner who knows every tide.

Marry Me Cyprus has planned weddings across the island for over fifteen years. Our studio and styling showrooms are based in Paphos, but we plan and run celebrations island-wide — and the east coast around Ayia Napa, Sotira and Ayia Thekla is one of our favourite stretches of coastline for couples who want that bright, blue-water feel.

It is the Cyprus most people picture first: powder-soft sand, water in every shade of turquoise, and small whitewashed chapels right on the shore. We handle the venue, suppliers, styling, timeline and paperwork so a wedding two hundred miles from your kitchen table feels as calm as one around the corner.

Why The East Coast

Cyprus at its most blue-and-gold.

The island's best beaches

The south-east coast is famous for a reason — fine white sand and clear, shallow, swimmable water. Thalassines at Ayia Thekla and the shoreline at Sirenes give you a true barefoot-on-the-beach ceremony rather than a terrace that merely overlooks one.

Chapel-on-the-sand romance

Tiny seaside chapels like Agia Thekla sit right at the water's edge, so a blessing or photographs at a whitewashed church and a celebration on the sand can happen within a few steps of each other — a look that is unmistakably east-coast Cyprus.

Easy for your guests

Larnaca airport is roughly 45 minutes away, with resorts in Ayia Napa and Protaras to suit every budget. Guests can make a holiday of it, and the compact coastline keeps ceremony, dinner and hotel close together.

How We Work

A considered process, not a checklist.

Every wedding is different, but the rhythm of how we plan is reliably the same. Four clear phases, each with a named lead, each with transparent deliverables.

01

Discovery

A first call to understand your vision, numbers, budget range and the feeling you want guests to leave with. We come back with two to four east-coast venue options matched to your brief — not a catalogue, a shortlist.

02

Design

Venue secured, we build a bespoke design direction: palette, florals, tablescape, paper, music, movement. You see mockups, fabric swatches and supplier proposals — no guesswork, no mystery invoices.

03

Delivery

The operational phase. We hold every supplier relationship on your behalf, chase every detail, build the run-sheet and run a full walk-through in the week before the wedding.

04

Day Of

Your planner arrives at first light and leaves after the last song. Everything you have imagined, executed quietly and beautifully, so you can be fully present.

Frequently Asked

Planning an Ayia Napa wedding — the practical bits.

Six answers to the questions we get asked most often. Anything else on your mind, we reply to every enquiry personally within 24 hours.

Which venues do you recommend for a wedding near Ayia Napa?

The east coast's signature look is beach and chapel. For a private white-sand ceremony we love Thalassines at Ayia Thekla and the shoreline at Sirenes Beach in Sotira; for the classic whitewashed seaside-chapel photographs, Agia Thekla is hard to beat. A little further along the coast, Cavo Zoe in Protaras offers a contemporary seafront resort, and HoneyLi Hill near Larnaca gives a hilltop-estate alternative within easy reach. We match the venue to your guest count, style and season.

Can we have a legally binding ceremony on an east-coast beach?

Civil (legally binding) marriages in Cyprus are conducted under the local municipality by an authorised Marriage Officer. Some licensed venues can host the registrar on-site; where that is not possible, the short legal formality is completed at the municipality and your celebration or blessing takes place on the beach — a very common and beautiful approach on the east coast. Through our Legal Assistance service we guide you through the documents, the Notice of Marriage and the booking so everything is in order.

You are based in Paphos — do you really cover Ayia Napa and the east coast?

Yes. Our studio and styling showrooms are in Paphos, but we plan and run weddings island-wide and work on the east coast regularly. We bring our own trusted suppliers where it matters and partner with established local teams near Ayia Napa, so you get the same hands-on planning and on-the-day coordination wherever on the island you marry.

When is the best time of year for an east-coast wedding in Cyprus?

The east coast has a long, warm season. May, June, September and early October are the sweet spot — hot, dry and reliably blue, without the peak heat of midsummer. July and August are gloriously sunny and work well for couples who plan a late-afternoon or sunset ceremony and a shaded reception. April and late October suit smaller weddings and often carry softer venue pricing.

How do our guests get to Ayia Napa, and where do they stay?

Larnaca International Airport is roughly a 45-minute drive from the Ayia Napa and Protaras area, with frequent direct flights from across the UK and Europe. The resorts around Ayia Napa and Protaras span everything from family-friendly hotels to adults-only luxury, and because the coastline is compact, ceremony, dinner and accommodation usually sit close together — easy for guests of every age.

How much does an Ayia Napa beach wedding cost?

It depends on guest numbers, venue and styling, but as a guide: elopements and micro-weddings start from around €3,500 all-in; mid-sized celebrations for 40–80 guests typically land between €12,000 and €28,000; and larger luxury weddings sit higher again. We build a transparent, tailored budget early in the process so every decision is clear before you commit.
